EdVed Solo Santa Barbara Tix on sale at 10PST TODAY!!!

edited February 2008 in The Porch
So I kinda posted this in another thread, but if anyone is around a computer today, why not try for SB tickets. These tickets WILL sell out in seconds and many board members here will be shut out. Why not try to get them if you can, if you can't make it to the show I am sure there will be PLENTY of people on here more than happy to buy FACE VALUE tickets...

Also, you could buy tickets and donate them to Wishlist for an auction, or something.

Ed's solo shows are being flipped and we can prevent it, especially if we work together and try to get as many tickets to this show as we can.
SCREW THE FLIPPERS!!!!!!!

I was kind of hoping that everyone had forgotten and I would get right through.

Yeah. I am an idealist and probably a bit naive.

Good luck to everyone. I'm sure I'll try for 15 minutes or so. Then I'll have to decide whether or not to sell my soul to Stubhub like I did for LA1. I live in LA, love Santa Barbara, and simply can't NOT go to at least one of these shows.

totally had the same thought...I am sure pjtaper is right - and from what I read in the article someone posted here yesterday, pretty sure some gay computer bot whore slurps up all the tix in 3 seconds anyway - bitch

Well, I am not 100% I'll be going, and I can promise if I don't use my tickets, they will go to a pearl jam fan at face.

I can't make it to the show, but I'm going to try to get tickets and sell them for face value to some unlucky person on here who was unable to get through.

    Wish me luck!

Good luck! I doubt I'll be going either... If I do get tix, they will go to a friend I know personally or a wishlist volunteer who needs them.

I will be trying as well. If any of you get lucky (with Ed tickets) give me a holler. I have been on quite a "shutout" streak lately.

I got through with my Super Fast Computer. It didn't help me for LA 1. I would consider trading my Santa Barbara and my extra 10 C ticket for Santa Cruz or LA 2 for a LA 1 ticket.

See, doesn't hurt to try! One less ticket going to a scalper...

Orchestra Row E! WTF? Aren't tickets that closed reserved for 10C only? Lucky LUCKY LUCKY. I had such a hard time getting through last week with the whole 10C debacle and then the KROQ presale.

I'll be coming up to SB from LA. Who's up to pre-party?

I managed to get through. Got tickets in ORCH R, Row HH.

I'm going to sell them at face value to somebody who needs them. I have to check with people who have hooked me up in the past (karma dictates that they deserve first priority), but if they're all set, I'll choose someone on here.

All I ask is that the person agree to pay face value for the tickets (US $163.90 total) and to not re-sale them.

    PM me if interested.

Thanks ballbag! And thanks pjtaper for the idea. I like the fact that we went around some scalpers. This saved me probably $80 or so. If I had not gotten ballbag's offer to sell at face value, I would have likely not gone. So bottom line, you guys just ensured that a message pit fan will be able to go to the Santa Barbara show!

    Hey all,

I am totally impressed that people here went out of their ways to buy tickets to these shows, only to sell them to fellow fans at FACE!

Even knowing you could flip them for double on eBay, you kind souls went out of your way to help one another out and eff the scalpers! Totally cool!!!
For those who scoff at "Jamily" in my name... 9 years ago, when my first daughter was born there were jokes about whether my priority would be my family or PJ. I smiled and quipped "I am a JamilyMan." What was a family joke became a hated term among jammers. Didn't see that one coming!
