I went to Monster Jam in 2007. It wasn't anywhere near as entertaining as we thought it would be. For one thing, there was no fucking dirt. They were just spinning their tires on a concrete floor, which caused them to smoke, and the stadium filled up with stinky burned rubber smoke for the whole show. It was actually really unpleasant.

What, for the whole show? It was the same people who do it everywhere else, soooo....

Probably depends on the venue. I'm sure there are a lot of venues where they can't use it just because it can ruin the place or is too hard to clean as far as the venue is concerned. I saw it in an indoor football stadium. I know I've seen photos from elsewhere and it's also concrete.

Yeah, I guess I would say that subjecting 40,000 people in a stadium to toxic fumes for 2 hours is probably doing it wrong.

  • Monster Jam is not surprisingly huge here in Jax. They sell out EverBank Field consistently each year. Next to FL/GA its the highest attended event at the stadium...again not surprising...they have mullet contests. If you've seen one show you've seen em all imo. They load in about 500 truck loads of dirt here I think.
