What hotel is everyone staying at in Chicago? And how much did you pay? I'm getting itchy to book a hotel, but something is telling me to wait and let the prices drop. But there is a lot going on in the city that weekend. What's everyone think?

Myself included, a lot of 10 clubbers are staying at the downtown Hyatt. Check out this thread - should give you some direction.

I will book when I have ticket till then I might just sleep at bus station.
    My butt itches!
  • We're staying at the Hyatt but the one by O'Hare, I have a friend who works for them and got rooms for 79.00 bucks a night! The one on Whacker was 289 a night, the O'Hare one is a 10 minute walk to the EL station, but it's about a 50 minute el ride or a 12 mile cab fare but that's worth saving 400 bucks to me.
  • Staying at the Majestic, just 1/2 mile from Wrigley. Got a beautiful sunroom suite for $350/night.

We used this express deal too but for 4 star Michigan ave for $125+taxes and it ended up being the hotel sax. Looks good, some other people commented about it being a good hotel and deal. Will find out July 18th.

Hotel 71 for $163 / night. (through Expedia)

No cancellation fee up to 7/18 so I'll try for something cheaper in the meantime, but at least I'm locked and loaded for what looks like a nice hotel for the weekend.

I have stayed at Hotel Sax before. It is a 'Boutique Hotel'. So the decor isn't typical. At the end of the day, it was clean, so I was happy....
  • I am staying at the JW Marriott...I think it is around $263 per night....we are using points thought so it's free :D

  • I booked today at the Palmer house Hilton. Booked a vaca package with flight so I don't know the exact cost. If anyone wants to jump on the thread I created for it we can keep in touch as it gets closer.

i'd say north mostly. bit ritzy. Macy's on state is south of the river and worth a visit. 9 stories of pure department store shopping.
