There are some really cool ones here:

http://www.weather.com/travel/worlds-mo ... 9?pageno=1

The best one i've seen was a little one in the jungle of Costa Rica. Its not famous or anything.
I want to see some of the famous ones, but I also really like the idea of the smaller ones where there arent a million tourists.

What awesome waterfalls have you seen?

awesome! looks like fun. Waterfalls are seriously my favorite in nature. There arent many in Florida though, but there's no reason I cant get over to Jamaica one day. I didnt realize they had good ones there.

What cool about this one, Tamolitch Dry Falls, is the lack of water. The grey cliff in the left half is where the river used to flow. Until a lava flow covered 3 miles of the river. I seeps it's way down and comes out in this pool, a full fledged river exits the pool. (Google it for some awesome images)

It has to be Niagara Falls ... I literally could stand and watch for hours and hours, day or night,
whatever the weather. It is a most breathtaking inspiring natural beauty.
I picture discovering it long ago and how incredible that must have been.
Everyone smiles there too, people from all over the world, a smile is international :D

I've seen a couple of cool waterfalls while hiking/backpacking.
Not sure what the big deal is. Water....boring. Gravity....boring. Water falling...kinda boring but less so than either water or gravity on it's own.
  • Nothing like standing at the very edge and looking all the way down Yosemite Falls!! Or, the continuous sound of thunder rumbling at the bottom of Upper Yosemite Falls. Deafening.
