    I don't think Brewster played for any MLB team. He arranged for his minor league team to play the Yankees.

    He was wearing a Cubs jersey although throughout the movie.

    early in the movie somebody asks him why he is wearing a cubs jersey and he replies it's the only mlb team that he played for.
