Locked threads

Anyone have a theory as to why threads get locked when none of the long list of rules are broken?
Some stuff is funny and I don't understand why they get locked, I'm not just talking about mine either.

Curiosity question I guess

Is it personal?

    here is my thought.....

    a thread gets locked.....you let it go and move on.

    sometimes you shake your head first....and go huh....then you move on

    no sense in getting worked up over the stupid shit that happens here.

    apparently there are key words that cause some threads to be locked. such as sabatoge or Thursday
