here's something....how about a survey???
It may be too late but here's something...it's called a survey. We've all done them countless times. Companies all over the world use this simple tool to assess whether or not what they are doing is the right approach to their business or the wrong approach to the way they are conducting their business...and yes, I know it's a
"Fan Club" but sufficed to say....it is a business.
I know there is "Let your voice be heard"....but let's face it, the boards are a big "clusterFK" at the best of times....
topics go soooo off topic it's not funny.
It would be nice to know how many members there actually are....it would be nice to know how those members are spread out globally.
I'd also be curious to know whether over the years as membership has either grown or declined whether or not 10C has accessed the demand for tickets based on this....thus knowing the reasons why they experienced tickets sales problems. If there is more demand they need to secure more tickets and if demand is lower they need to secure less...etc...etc
It all comes down to statistics and ratios, whether it be North America, Europe, and all other continents. The density of more populous areas verses less populated areas etc.
Asking fans to complete a survey so they can gather the right information.
Asking questions like where you reside....which is already common knowledge for the most part given your membership.
Do you travel to a shows?..if so how far.....500KM, 1000KM, transborder, transatlantic etc.
Multiples shows?
Do you wait for them to come to you?
What is your favourite way to buy tickets?.....TM, Fan Club or other
Would you be opposed to paying an extra fee for ticket?
Do you require one ticket or always two?
Remember when some tickets went on sale first to North Americans and then to everyone else?
and same way with Europe first and then North America after....all depending on where the shows were.
Let's face it.......yes, the 10C has many members....but we are still a small minority of people in the big picture.
Did all our complaining create this monster?
I think the happiest day was when we all scored on TM during PJ20. Seems we were all so happy!
Please bring it back..........bring it back.

Hey man this is a great thought.
There is a lot of good ideas in your survey idea, I think it's too bad that it has just sat around for a couple days without any response. I have a theory on that, and its your low post count and you're not taken seriously. That's too bad, I keep hearing how it's a big family around here, how respect and being nice to people is the lay of the law.
If anyone out there has any pull, let's make this server happen in some shape or form. It would be very cool to see how many Canadians travel to shows and how far we go and how much money we spend and shit.
It doesn't have to be exactly as the OP stated but that's a good general outline.
Nice work fucker. Keep it up
I doubt it'll happen though, because if I'm vouching for you, your odds are shot as I'm probably one of the biggest jackasses on here if not the biggest. Not sure how serious people take me.
Take care fucker, good luck I agree with you and I'm on board.
P.S. I call everyone fucker. Even the guy at the bank0 -
Nothing personal, but what would this survey accomplish? Do you think that publishing the 10c's private business information would allow fans to devise some kind of ultra-fair ticket system that no one else has thought of yet? Or maybe some way to 'game' the lotto?0

Not a bad idea. Maybe the 10c could finally reallocate membership #'s to those who lost original #'s and could bump everyone down as needed. Who knows? Would it really accomplish anything?0

I don't think it has anything to do with the lotto. Based in what I wrote above, it bought it was clear.
It wouldn't accomplish anything0 -

It wouldn't accomplish anything. More of a survey to see how many numbers are out there. What country people are at. How many shows, travel to shows.
Kind of an information thingy for members
Has nothing to do with the lottery or what happened with Chicago tickets.0 -
This whole survey thing would have to be better to look at and more interesting than, " name a band, I name band with last letter. " how you feeling now. And the same old recycled threads that are here every day. Reading people's same old boring robotic answers, it's painful0

OK, it's just that there seems to a plethora of people with ideas and requests (really they are demands) for the 10c recently and if we the fan base want our wishes to be taken seriously in the future, we need to be careful that what we ask for has some kind of purpose to it that benefits both the fans and the 10c or legitamitely good ideas will get lost in the noise.0 -
Thanks for submitting some replies on this.
I just thought it might have been something that maybe should have been implemented somewhere down the line.
After all...how long has this club been in existence? Wouldn't they like to get a feel for their own longevity?
Maybe if proper information would have been compiled earlier....or even now....we'd all be happier campers.
We are supposed to be the voices that drive this machine...aren't we?
It just would have been nice to have been asked first before we were force fed.0
