Ron Jeremy is reportedly in critical condition with an aneurysm near his heart.

Ron Jeremy, one of the most famous names in porn, is reportedly in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering an aneurysm near his heart.

"Please keep Ron in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery ... #PrayForRon #Rontourage," his management team said via Twitter on Wednesday.

The 59-year-old adult-film star suffered severe chest pains Tuesday afternoon, TMZ first reported, and drove himself to the hospital, where the aneurysm was discovered.

His condition worsened and he was moved to the intensive-care unit, where he was being prepped for emergency surgery.

"This has been a very difficult morning," his manager, Mike Esterman, told E! News.

Jeremy has done more than 2,000 adult films, and though he's done some mainstream work in recent years, he told AskMen last year, "As long as the penis works, I’ll do porn — 'cause it’s fun, it pays and I still like it."

A query to Jeremy's manager was not immediately returned.

    i saw this earlier. too sad. the article i read did not sound so upbeat. apparently it is an aortic aneurysm which can be tricky to treat.

    Regardless of what anybody might think about porn, he seems like a pretty interesting guy. Prior to becoming a porn star he earned a Masters in special education and became a teacher for special needs children. He always seems very nice whenever you see him on TV and stuff.

    I know many people know this already, but it's a fun fact. He was an uncredited extra in Ghostbusters. You can see him right after the containment field blows.

    I remember when he was on Big Brother a few years ago - agreed, SF...seemed like a funny, gentle, intelligent man.
