So I LOST in the lottery--but do you really want my feed back? do you?--it's not going to be nice at all--in fact it's going to be brutally honest!

Maybe because there are too many? Perhaps you all can unite under one common thread to complain? :corn:

This isn't new. Every ticket onsale there is a million "role call" threads and a million and four "I'm not renewing, its not fair" threads.
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

I think you're missing the point. We pay for this service. They ought not be scrubbing the boards. If people were being threatening or profane or whatever, that's different, but I'm talking about legitimate topics. If you want to talk about something else, fine, talk about it. If 10c really wanted to deal with the complaints, they'd provide some transparency regarding the number of tickets they get, the reason they don't offer access to a true pre-sale, the details on how the lottery works, the reason they only sell tickets in pairs, etc. Again, we're paying for it. No one is forcing anyone to read the complaint threads, but simply pretending that they don't exist and locking them down instead of actually addressing the issues simply isn't right.

  • The problem I have with this new system is that it's totally out of our hands.

I've tried to get tickets through the old system for over 8 hours/show in the past and I was only shut out once, ever.

First try with the new system and I'm out on my ear because everyone has a week to enter. It wouldn't matter if I sent my lottery request in on the day that it went live or this morning at 6am.

I realize it's petty and childish but at least with the old system you knew that most of the people that got tickets worked for them...for some reason that made me feel better.

The only thing I would like to know...
    What were the specifics?
    ...
I mean, now that it is all over...
How many entries were there (total) from the membership per show? I don't care about who picked what choice... just, how many people enterd the Chicago lottery.... how many people entered the Canada lottery?
How many pair were available for Chicago? Ontario?
How were the winners selected? Was it by hand? If so, was it by Ten Club personel or an unbiased third party? Were the winners selected randomly by the computer?
    ...
I think this would help because it'll tell us what are odds were... and...
It would validate the lottery system as being fair and unbiased.
    ...
    Summary:
    How many available pairs?
    How many contestants?
How was the selection process done?

My feedback is that I like the lottery because it is the most fair system. It was shitty not to win the tickets, but that's okay, because I'll just get them another way. I think this was much better than spending a whole day trying to buy tix!! Congrats to all of those who won.

This for me, although I was lucky enough to get tickets today.
There is no way I would spend all day hitting F5 - I will just buy on Public Sale or Stub-Hub. I know that is extremely unpopular with most on this forum but I have been going to concerts for 20+ years like most of us and I dont have a problem paying for tough to get tickets.

Me too. I figure, it's a lottery... there are going to be many more losers than winners. That's just the nature of a lottery.
It would be nice to know what our odds were in winning.
And to know that the lottery system is sound and does not show any type of bias for or against specific members.
    ..
Those two pieces of information should settle a lot of the discussion that is taking place.... because everything being discussed in based in speculation, not fact.

I couldn't agree more. What about a free item for those of us members who mysteriously didn't get hand selected for these wrigley tix? How about a free bootleg of an old concert... Something from the 90s? Come on....?
