WHY DOES LOTTERY DRAWING TAKE SO LONG?

i woulda though that this lottery with the use of computers and picking algorithm that the entries would end at 10am pst and we would all have emails at 10:01 stating if we won or lost.

anyone else baffled why it takes so long? whats the process here? please tell me they arnt printing all the entries out and picking them out of a hat?
