i love that song
definitely worth $60(nose bleeds)...certainly not worth $250(gold circle)
no band is worth $250...too bad this tour has to be about greed, at the expense of the long time loyal fans :(
the new stuff from neil was awesome, very catchy. and the first time i'd heard it...
with all the huge flags behind the stage.
the huge yellow ribbon banner (i think this signifies bringing the troops home/keeping them safe).
they deliberately fucked up the star spangeled banner many times (might have been a recording).
during "lets impeach the president" they had all the lyrics on every huge video screen in the place for all to see...and these lyricsn are 10 times worse then Bushleaguer.
and the crowd was going nuts during all this...i went with my parents and my step dad is like 60 and lived through the heart of Vietnam...and he said that this concert brought back so many memories and this era is turning into the same thing as how Vietnam was and this is why CSNY's music is still so relevent today...
the last song of the 2nd set, Deja Vu said it all...
"And I feel
Like I've been here before
Feel
Like I've been here before
And you know it makes me wonder
What's going on under the ground, hmmm
Do you know? Don't you wonder?
What's going on down under you
We have all been here before, we have all been here before
We have all been here before, we have all been here before
We have all been here before, we have all been here before"
The who is worth $250, PJ in a small setting is worth $250
Too bad neil is choosing to play that political stuff instead of his best music
It then might be worth the $150 for decent seats
the who is NOT worth $250. neither are the stones.
PJ is NOT worth $250, even at the showbox in seattle
living with war is a great cd...who needs to hear those old hits when you have NEW MUSIC?
i don't want to see PJ play the old tunes i want PJ to play the new songs first...then squeeze in those old hits if you have to
I AM SO FUCKING PISSED AT MYSELF I DIDNT GET TO THIS!!!
I agree the stones are not worth it, but seeing pete live is worth it. imho
Same with PJ, the storytellers or irving plaza shows were worth 250, maybe the borgata as well. But hey perhaps I put a greater value on the musical experience than having the cash.
Living at war has some good music, but the political message kills it for me.
Its just too much.
I agree about new PJ, but thats because the new record is really good. Most of the politics are subtle.
Cant say the same for all bands, including CSN&Y.
I saw them in Toronto on Monday and it was awesome.
Putting guys half their age to shame
Neils new album is great
Played for over three hours
what with PJ and CSNY I've got a good dose of political music these past few months
it's about time
They specifically picked political songs for the whole show
they showed very clearly that
Everything has chains
Absolutely nothing's changed
the songs are just as true today
Color me impressed!
