Has anyone recently seen Paul McCartney in concert? There is a huge buzz that he is going to be the main headliner at the Hangout Festival. At first I was not that thrilled as I was never a huge Beatle fan but the more I thought about seeing basically a "legend" live in my lifetime makes me a little more excited. That being said, I am just wondering how he sounds live? I liked the song at the 12-12-12 show but that really didn't show off his voice much. Any input is appreciated.

I work with a girl who has seen him twice... His shows are almost 3 hrs long and he plays a wide variety of songs (Beatles, Wings, solo...) . I would definitely go see him next time he comes around here.

NIce. Jim James is supposed to be at the fest by himself and he did a tribute album with all George Harrison songs. I am hoping for a nice collaboration between the two, maybe Paul comes out during his set during the day?

Saw him in 2011 and it was absolutely incredible. Maybe even the best concert I've ever been to. 3 hours long, career spanning, hits plus some deeper cuts. It's really everything you could ask for, and he's still got it. I was in a trance for the whole show. Also, his band is really phenomenal, especially Abe Laboriel on drums!

All I am hearing is good things about Macca. I guess if the Hangout lands him it's huge as he also rumored for Roo. Crazy that a 70 year old man is still rocking. Makes me feel young at 44. God bless him, hope he plays until he is 90.

The Vancouver show rocked. I didn't think it was going to be as energetic and engaging as it was, but truth be told, I dug the McCartney gig quite a bit more than the Neil Young show I saw 2 weeks prior.

And just imagine an entire festival singing those songs....hearing all of Yankee Stadium sing 'Hey Jude'- still get chills thinking about it! I hope the rumor holds true and you get to see him!

I saw him Back in November. If you get the chance, and he plays, Go see him!! He is worth it. His set is pretty much Beatles and Wings stuff, with a few latter ones/ covers. He played 37 songs in 3 hrs when I saw him at Minute Maid Park here in Houston. His voice sounds good for being in his early 70s. He doesn't dissapoint, and it's great to hear those Beatles classics, and Wings songs being performed by a legend. 8-)

Anyone see him in Brooklyn on Saturday? Was there an opening act, and what time did he go on?

    Going tomorrow :)

    8:00-8:30 - Stage Turnover
    8:30 - Paul

Thank you! From the Saturday reviews sounds like that's what they are doing so I'll just plan to be there by 8:00.

    Thanks!
