my grandma sent me this, pretty cool little video. apparently made for a high school project.

    cool but the problem is the subtle message of evolution! Nothing on creationism or the bible! So that part of it was wrong. If we evolved from apes and monkees then there would have been no apes or monkees since then! Plus there is ZERO evidence of any transitional figures or fossils of such! Its a totally bogus theory. It was good at the time but zero truth to it!

    hehehehe that's great. hey hey we're the monkees, people say we monkey around. take the last train to clarksville is the bomb beat. as far as the video goes, there is a picture of the world in the palm of two hands. one could argue that that represents the belief of creationism. there is a lot more oriented to evolution though. one thing, i wouldn't say evolution is wrong. it's a belief, just like creationism. you believe it to be true but that doesn't mean that it actually is. me personally, evolution justs feels more logical than an invisible diety. doesn't mean it's true, but it sure could be.

    Ok you got me on the spelling! You do know that when something evolves it no longer exists! We move past that something forever! Give me ONE example where this happens? You truly believe we came from monkeys?
    Why are there still monkeys? Where was the transition and the proof?

    Yeah I love the Monkees! My wife got to see them at that historic show in L.A. where the Jimi Hendrix Experience opened for them!

    But back on topic- with all due respect, evolution is more accurately described as a theory (remembering that only mathematics do proofs) rather than a belief and is one that is well researched and accepted by the vast majority of credible scientists. The evidence for it's existence is overwhelming.

    Evolution is based on the idea that humans share a common ancestor with apes and that we diverged from that ancestor into two separate groups - apes and chimps as one group and early hominids that evolved into modern humans later. So you are correct in that neither hominids nor this early ancestor still exist.

    Although, I did see a reference to creationism in the video - did you catch Adam and Eve in the garden of eden?
    Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

    Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

    It is so weird how people went from fish, to hamsters, to monkeys, to white people, then to black people, then to both black people and white people! Mother Nature is a mad scientist!

    It is so interesting thinking about what my great great...grandfather squirrel were doing all those years ago. I wonder how many generations it took for my grandfather's offspring to make it from the happy fish he was to a scared monkey that his eggs would eventually evolve into.
