With the announcement of the two shows in July and soon-to-be fall shows, there doesn't seem to be much speculation (or complaining) about the release date for the next album.

Coming to Chicago, London, and a city (to be named later) near you...Pearl Jam!

I do... but the excitement of a show in my neighborhood is a nice distraction.

im beyond fucking intrigued to hear what the new record is gonna sound like.

backspacer is my least favorite, but it wasn't all bad....there's some lessons to be learned (mostly from johnny guitar and force of nature)

but please, boys- leave shit like speed of sound and just breathe alone- you're better than that
i have a paper here that entitles me to fast track status

I actually liked Johnny Guitar, lyrically I find it the song very easy to relate to, on top of that it's has a very awesome Rockin feel to it. :ugeek:

I like it too. I find backspacer is possibly the most divided among us fans. I love the first half of the record, but I cannot listen to the last four songs. Falls flat on its face with me.

(the only song I really can't stand on BS is Super Sonic. Pee-U! The rest range from awesome to not bad)

In my excitement, I actually forgot they were even planning a new album. Now that you remind me, oh yeah! Looking forward to that! :) No hurry for me though. I'm patient.
