Might be a stupid question, but is Eddies first name actually Eddie or Edward? (-sorry, i always get a bit confused by the american way of changing a name into something else. Never know what's what...)

Don't know about the Turner part.. But Jerome was the name of
Peter Mueller's father, he was a baseball player for the cards
and the Cubs. He gave Ed his love of sports. When Peter Mueller
adopted him, his name was changed to Edward Jerome Mueller.
When Ed changed his name for some reason he only altered the last
Name. So... He is currently Edward Jerome Vedder.
