Lost dogs plush toy - fake?

Hey guys,

How can you tell if the stuffed dog that was a promo item with the release of Lost Dogs is a fake? The tag on the one I just bought is on the right ear (all the others I've seen are on the left) and the lettering looks really worn on the tag. Thanks for any replies.

    Does it make a difference if the tag is in the left ear or the right? Does this signify a fake? Or does plastic thingy going through the Pearl and Lost side have significance rather than going through the Jam and Epic side?
