Even the ACLU is against these things, I guess it's too much drama though.

so at what point do the TSA be held accountable for the colossal waste of taxpayer dollars?

Lets start by cutting the fuck out of their budget since spending cuts are coming down the pike.

Let's get rid of the TSA altogether and let the airlines run their own security.

so you want airline security to come down to a company's financial bottom line, do you?

I , for one, do not. I think TSA does have a place and purpose but they seem to overreach more often than not.

This is coming from someone partially regulated by TSA.

Considering the way airlines like to cut corners? No thanks!

oh there would definately be another added fee involved for passengers. I hear carry on baggage is the latest.

I am happy they are removing those damn x-ray machines. The TSA should be given the axe. It is a joke that they make such a big deal about flying. What are the odds? Just another agency and another way to spend, spend, spend.

they oversee all commercial traffic including trucking. So its not just about air travel.

Oh, I didn't realize that. I thought they just patted you down and shit. Ha Ha. My bad. That reminds me of something though. Did you know that the military base where i live actually pays for security at its gates? Isn't that weird?

You can always opt out of the scanner if you want... you'll get touched all over though.

I actually moved a little bit in the scanner one time and they decided to search me becauase the image wasn't clear enough. After getting touched all over, I had to wait for the guy to test his gloves for explosive material. :fp:

Then one time in Denver I had my toothpaste taken away from me because the label was missing from the bottle. I was actually pretty pissed and I'm surprised that I wasn't brought back for questioning.

I think it was Air Tran, where they only charge for each carry on starting at $45.00. I paid that for my daughter and told her to just walk onto the plane with her back pack I wasn't going to pay for that too.

  • Yes.

Let's get rid of the TSA.

Just let any wacko walk onto a plane with a gun or a knife or a bomb... hey... what are the odds? I mean.. nobody has ever highjacked a plane in America and used it to commit and act of terrorism, have they?

Well.. there was that once... but you know... that was like 12 years ago. Stop blaming Bush. :fp:

But guns bombs and knives are all illegal and aren't allowed to be brought on planes. :D

Most would agree, the system is flawed. Isn't repairing a flawed agency/system less costly than tearing it down and building a new one? And unless you take Brian Eno's song title literally-- "Burning Airlines Give You So Much More"-- I would think this agency is worth repairing.

    Ron Paul Poop Shooters.

I'm going to make it my objective today to call at least three people poop shooters.

Just kidding. Pure sarcasm on my part. Sorry!
