cmon folks put your constitution where your mouth is.

No dues, but a member is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of their own weapons as well as ammo. There is the stipulation that all weapons would be registered. So as to know which member is best suited for a given task. Officer corps to be determined based on experience in the private sector.

    I could be very wrong, but what I believe micky is getting at here... is gun lovers say it's their right to bear arms. Protectors of the 2nd.
    So he is asking them to put their money where there mouth is and publicly sign up for the milita to "protect" us from our future opressors.

    At least that's what I think he's saying.

    My assumption would be that the OP is implying that the 2nd amendment reads that American citizens apart of a militia are the ones that are allowed to keep firearms and that regular non militia citizens aren't.

    But this whole "gun lovers" thing...it's like calling someone who's pro-choice "pro-murder". Kind of ridiculous to me.

    Is the first amendment OK by everyone? Are those who support or oppose it labeled as well?

    Sorry, but it becomes tedious after awhile.

    How in hell is any meeting of the minds to happen when (some from) each and all so-called-sides are snarky and closeminded?

    I'm not saying one is right and one is wrong. I'm saying that the pro gun group always shouts the right to bear arms speach. I really doubt a high percentage of those peoples would really be willing to be apart of
    said militia. So if that's the case, I just don't feel like they should use that argument.
