bye bye 2013 pj album release :?

Why? Because Eddie and Glen recorded songs together while on tour in 2012?

I won two free tickets to RNDMB, show was 30min from my house, I didn't go. I also drove 900miles to see Pearl jam in Missoula...

Obviously love Ed and a big fan of Glen but an Ed & Glen album/EP does absolutely nothing for me. I need a rocking Pearl Jam album again.

Seriously. Step back from the ledge people. They recorded a couple of songs that might get released. This doesn't mean Glen is replacing Mike or some goofy shit like that. Any new EV music is welcome for me.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

I'd be over the moon to have an official release of Falling Slowly. But i'd take just about anything. These two complement each other extremely well.

Not that I know him, but I think Spags is on your side.

I don't think anyone would care getting a few Ed/Glen songs they've already worked on. But, I think what Spags (And me, and many others) are saying is - why the f would you want Glen on stage with Ed while the others are standing back stage? We don't think he's replacing anyone. But, this happens all the time around here. They fall in love with these appendages the guys pick up over the years. That's what's mental.

Spags - I apologize in advance if I've misinterpreted you and usurped your meaning.

(PS Don't get me wrong - Glen's a good guy and entertaining.)
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

2:20minutes in to this video, Mike demonstrates what a Vedder tour/song lacks. I hope Mike tours with these guys, since Vedder doesn't want him anymore.

So a Vedder tour/song lacks an 80's anthem rock song about decadence sung in an annoying high voice?

    Yes, yes it does. Thankfully.

    :D

I know what you mean, just messing with ya'.

Sorta off topic, I hate the headline for the article. Why is Glen's and Ed's friendship "unlikely"?

That shit drives me up the wall. :?

I can't wait to hear this-when I heard Ed sing with Glen this past November, I couldn't get over how well their voices meshed. Bring on the EV/Glen EP!!:clap:

I am SUPER excited for this to be released. Hoping that they re-recorded "falling slowly." I love the original, but hearing these two sing it together is such an emotional experience for me.

this is going to be great. I was discussing with a lot of people I met during the EV euro tour as well as the florida show how awesome it'd be if they ever did something together, and it seems to have happened. lovely. :D

Personally, I him singing with Ben Harper or Jack Johnson a lot more.... he sounds AMAZING with Jack Johnson... but their harmonies don't come CLOSE to the beautiful melodies made my Mike/Jeff/Stone/Ed.

Last time I checked, there were 5 parts to this band. If just one of them is involved with something else, PJ is put on hold. They've all agreed that that's the way it is going to be, so we have to deal with it. Some is better than none. In the meantime, some kick-ass things pop up like Vedder and Glen collaborating on a couple tracks. Oh the horror! They recorded while they were already on tour together, it's not like PJ's album is delayed now because these tracks were made. I think it's clear there is some kind of tour coming up this year for the US and probably an album to go along with it.
