    The number is actually 89%.

Edit: I misread what the percentage was representing and erroneously stated this as a correction. I followed it up with another comment immediately afterwards, but people have failed to see that.

Ignore this post, please. Or Dimi, will get after you.

a little off topic, but does owning a gun impact homeowners insurance (positively/negatively)? If owning one of these dogs%2520puppies%25201920x1080%2520wallpaper_www.wallfox_net_72.jpg (whether or not for protection) does, wondering how a gun compares.

Pfft... forget about one of those.. dogs%2520puppies%25201920x1080%2520wallpaper_www.wallfox_net_72.jpg

All you need is one of these launching at any intruder and he/she runs straight away, probably with the cat still gripping the face...

But, in any case, should you have both cat and gun, please secure your guns as they should be or else this could happen. Everyone knows cats want to take over (forget the paranoia about the governement wanting to...)

I have no idea... I'd say it doesn't effect it at all, but I'd have to research or ask my dad.

As much as I am against the government having any additional control over our lives (in fact I want it to have much less), the gun issue is one where I struggle.

If we're honest, the power of the 2nd Amendment doesn't exist anymore. We cannot defend ourselves against a government that has bombs, missiles and tanks with small arms. Furthermore, when in the history of the USA have we even HAD to defend ourselves against it? The argument could be made that was the case in the Civil War, but those were exceptional circumstances brought on by the secession and a need to end slavery.

And I don't understand the obsession with guns either. Outside of target shooting and hunting, the only other purpose for a gun is to murder someone. I do not believe that it is truly for "protection" and I think it's difficult to even point out how many times a gun truly protected a private citizen from death.

I think their primary purpose then is to provide some measure of a feeling of power to people who feel powerless. Personally, I think it's wiser to find a safer, less violent way to not live with fear. I think it starts with attitude.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

guns are but a footnote ... banning guns, increasing regulation of guns, more stricter laws ... these things will not end gun violence in america ...

    a country that chooses to:

    a) profit from unnecessary violence
    b) impose it's will on sovereign countries via violence
    c) believe that violence is the answer to violence
    d) continue to kill people in the name of justice (some who are innocent)
    e) ignore the social implications of the american way of life

will always have an issue with violence ... via guns or some other means ...

  • The number is actually 89%.

    What's your source for that?

    I call bullshit.

    Although...

Since the message does not seem to be getting through....

NOBODY IS TRYING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR FUCKING GUNS. WE DO NOT WANT TO TAKE YOUR GUNS.

THE BOOGIE MAN IS NOT AT YOUR DOOR TRYING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR GUNS.

YOU CAN KEEP YOUR PRECIOUS GUNS.

Everyone agrees that the woman who had the .38 and shot the man who cornered her and her kids was in the right and did the right thing... nobody wants to take away .38 caliber hand guns from kids.

I don know you, but if you're an American, then I wish all the other Americans read this. Common sense and well written. You should make the rules in that country. Very well said
