Great post DP. "Gleaning" is the same word that came to my mind. Take what's useful, leave the rest behind. The endless cycle that sometimes goes on here surely is exasperating at times. Just when I think I'm good that way- wham. Back to the beginning.

Yes, time is of the essence. More so as you age. At age four a year is 25% of your life. At age 50 it's 2%. I'm trying to make the best of mine. So much wasted time over the dam and under the bridge. You seem to being going in the right direction that way.

The line between casual posting and driven-with-a-mission is easy to cross on AMT. I'm guessing pretty much anyone who comes here has something serious on their mind at least part of if not a good deal of the time. Most of us get excited, enthused, worked up, freaked out, peeved, inspired etc. about things that happen. It would be cool if everybody wanted to work together like the Canned Heat song but that's a lot to hope for.

I wish we could eliminate the knee jerk lashing out shit. I've done that. It sucks.

I wish we were all guilty of wanting to raise awareness but I think, I hope, the majority of us here are for that.

The things that you and I and some others bring to the table besides guns guns guns should not be discounted. I mean really, the majority of threads here these days are about guns... and then someone gets ripped for bring something different to the table? That's not right. The palate is becoming monochrome.

"nano-stuff, job-eliminating techs, monitor-control etc" These sound like worthy subjects to me- surely as worth while to discuss as anything else offered up here.

Don't let the train rust and don't spook the horse. (Oh, sorry, Neil and the boys on are the turntable.)

    Good post, dancepartner.

Here's my math; At age 4 I haven't a clue what the % is but at age 50, you have lived 50% of it with 50% to go! :D
    Have a great day.
