Looks interesting...I'll check them out later, but maybe you should post these in the other sections for more feedback...either the moving train or All encompassing trip maybe?
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

Very interesting, and very eye opening.

to not question your government is unpatriotic."

  • Hmmmm. Watched both. I'm not an expert in this subject area, but there were some interesting items that should cause pause for consideration and concern.

According to the 2nd video (The Taliban in Pakistan):

A window of opportunity presented itself to win the hearts of the Pakistan people after the massive flood destroyed 20% of their country. The government and foreign aid have been slow to assist. The Taliban have recognized the window and are accomplishing this feat by helping the residents rebuild. The US response to the flood was $150 million in aid: not bad... except the US spends $165 million daily to fight the Taliban.

The US are receiving short term gains with their drone attacks, but the long term effect might be found after 'radicalizing the people' who have experienced pain from them (when they miss their targets and kill innocent people): making them militant and having them develop anti-US sentiment.

Regarding western policies killing their citizens: "The billions of dollars, the hundreds of billions of dollars they are spending here should be spent in their own cities instead. It should be spent on improving communities around the world."
    - Shabir Ahmed Khan, Provincial Secretary

The growing sentiment of the Pakistan people is one that is beginning to view the US as its enemy. This is scary- it seems to be getting out of control... if it's not already. I would love for someone with a sound and balanced perspective to shed some light on some of these items the documentary presents.
