Kudos to the teacher who could very well have saved many lives with his actions.
Prayers for the victims.
A shotgun was used.

"...I changed by not changing at all..."
They discussed lockdown process and other topics. This may have helped keep the situation from getting even worse.
20 rounds in his pocket. May have been a target of bullying.
The poison from the poison stream caught up to you ELEVEN years ago and you floated out of here. Sept. 14, 08
And the NRA will say "See. there's no problem with guns" :fp:
That's exactly what I was thinking. good grief.
flags flying at full mast is going to be the exception soon.........

The NRA will be in touch soon to give you a pep talk.

No need for a gun, even when faced with one. No doubt saving lives.
No one dead this time.
Would it have been different if it had been a nervous, twitchy 'packing' teacher?
Oh... the school's resource officer (or armed police guard...) - oops... he wasn't there.
I commend these people. Lots of wit about them.
This will be my only comment on yet another shooting thread.
I was able to talk a guy down who was pointing a gun in my face because I was with his ex-girlfriend (a co-worker of mine), at her house, watching T.V.
I was just blabbering out a bunch of stuff about murder and cops and prison, all while working my way towards the kitchen door and ran out... pretty much screaming like a little school girl. I was able to have a stranger a few doors down call 9-1-1 to get the cops because i didn't know if he was going to murder/homicide them.
When the cops got there, I showed them where she lived and after just a few minutes, they lead the guy out in handcuffs.
Sad part... me and the gal weren't doing anything... we were just co-worker/friends, watching some T.V. after work. Nothing going on between us.
...
It turned out, he was charged with felony kidnapping and plead out... serving a couple of years in jail and several years of probation. He wasn't a bad guy... just love sick and in possession of terribly poor decision making skills.
And yes... the gun was legally purchased and owned.
Hail, Hail!!!
See, this sort of trollish stupidity makes me think it's not actually about the guns. It was clear the thread was winding down and you said this, really classy man, and given the subject matter and all, you really hold yourself in an esteemed light.
as a gun owner, shouldn't you know the law if you were a responsible gun owner? and you have already admitted you don't keep it locked. what would happen if someone broke in, stole your gun, and shot someone? would you be charged with a crime? is that why you don't want guns registered? so it can't be traced back to you if this happens?

I have never said I don't keep them locked.

"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Responsible ownership.
Lock firearms when children are in the home.
Also, appears bullying may have played a role (no excuse) but still a problem that needs to be addressed.
you know, it IS possible to respond with just the first sentence instead of attempting to look superior when all you are really doing is making yourself look like a jackass.
I looked back, and it was unsung. my apologies. hard to tell some of you apart in all of this.

Don't want someone who doesn't even enjoy 2nd amendment rights to mis-represent how I exercise mine.
Thanks for playing. Glad you got it straight so you don't look misinformed.
Here to help
"enjoy" second amendment rights. good god. no, gladly, I will never ENJOY your second amendment rights. a right that allows you to take away the first amendment rights of others.

And the thing I don't get is if the president of the USA who is arguably the most powerful person in the country/world, why can't he just make the laws. Why does it seem that the NRA make the rules for your country.
