I must have played this album a million times when it came out. I'll probably pass on the tour though. I saw them open for the Stones in 1988 I believe.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Vernon Reid's is the first pic I caught at a concert when they played Spring Weekend at my college. Even my kids (and they came long after) know what that purple pick is from!
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

I also wore this album out both on vynil and cd. It was fresh, new and the start of something called black metal. I saw them first touring with the Stones on maybe the Steel Wheels Tour and many times out on their own. Still to this day they are one of my top 10 rock bands and it all started with this VIVID album. I hope they will come down here to South Florida and enjoy our warmth and sunshine. :D

One negative why so very long in between albums?

I saw them on the Stones' tour back in '89 too. Can't believe Vivid is 25 years old!

They played on my campus at SUNY New Paltz in 1990... the Jeff Healey Band opened for them and Run DMC was also on the card.

    Jeff Healey RIP. :(

Fantastic show at the Paradise in Boston last night.

    Here's 32 seconds of video I shot... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clg22PZbESU

And here's the autographs of every band member... https://twitter.com/kennyolav/status/32 ... 93/photo/1

It was very apparent that they really love playing as a band and interacting with their fans. I'm glad I got to see them finally... I remember when Vivid was a new album. They still have the passion they had back then.

Caught them at the Ritz in NYC on April 22 1989. Awesome show. Covered Led Zeppelin's The Ocean. They were on fire! De La Soul was supposed to open. I don't remember seeing them tho.
