passed away, but living through his music... please read

My husband was an avid fan of Pearl Jam. He'd never had a Ten Club membership so I got him one for his birthday a few months back and am using it to post. He took a lot of inspiration from them, through the lyrics and they way they influenced his life, and he derived a style kind of his own, but with Pearl Jam elements... He always said, "I wish Eddie was my Dad. He is so cool."

He was hit by a vehicle on New Years Eve and is no longer with us. He wrote several of his own songs with beautiful lyrics that carried so much imagery along with them. I feel he was incredibly talented and didn't get his due exposure while he was living... I would like to take the honor of sharing his music with his jamily <3

Please give his music a listen. All songs on there are his own music and lyrics, unless its listed as a cover.

Thank you so much for sharing.

So far I listened to "how to live forever", what beautiful song-writing. Very Vedder-esque.

I look forward to listening to the rest of the songs.

prayers, thoughts & peace to you,
this is really a lovely tribute, thank you again for sharing.

  • Thank you all for the support and sympathy. My favorite songs of his are "Color in the Sun" and "Small Towns." I want to sing "Small Towns" at his memorial benefit concert, he always told me he loved it when we sang together, but I don't know if I can hold it together... We got married in May of 2012, so we didn't have a lot of time in this life, but as non-religious as I am, I am open minded enough to hope I may be able to be with him again someday, when we connect back together into the consciousness that makes us all one. If not, I had the best times of my life with that man. We was a wise and beautiful soul.

Sorry for airing this all out on here, guys. Its honestly the hardest thing I've ever experience.

They say it gets better with time? Feel your pain. You loved him. Screw what other people believe you should feel.
"Can't find a betterman... Don't want to be this way.."
Won't find a better man. Your candle will burn

You have every right to grieve, and he left you something beautiful to remember.
I say you are a lucky one!

it's sad you had less than a year together. It must have been the best year. This is tragic.

It was most definitely the best year. I have so many memories of amazing times with him. I'm glad we crammed so many fun times into just a short while... He taught me so much and opened my eyes to new ideas about everything from nature to music to politics to movies and everything in between. He was really an encyclopedia with kissable lips and a kind heart. He was honestly the best person I know. Thank you, STAYSEA. Your words are nothing but true. His music was who he was, and I have a part of him, some of the deepest parts of him, here with me.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I've been listening to his songs this morning. I'm glad you are sharing them.

Stay strong, this process is different for everyone, do what you have to do.

Know that you have people here that will listen.

In time you will be telling us about the great times you shared with him, and laughing as you remember.

    Be well.
