regardless

Sip and sink,
sip and settle
I have no trouble recalling
Each word and each second
Spent wondering

You fell asleep on my shoulder
Then gave me a blanket

Hard to shake feelings
That have already vibrated through the soul

I remember walking back through the city
It was gritty dawn
There was litter,
But everything still seemed so clean
Pristine.

Dropped the coffee
Caffeine swirls
in a puddle
Spiral off to some promised land
Where we can look at each other
The way we both mean to

A conversation
and conversion
to hope,
regardless.
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."
