saw my first drone the other day

  • I don't like it. It seems like an invasion of privacy to me - hovering over private property.

The Seattle Police department wants to use them, so far they haven't been granted permission. Most people I try to talk to about it here shrug it off, which disturbs me.

  • Me too! It said PUSH ME PULL ME on the side of it!

Fear... I have to be honest... you really grate on me with some of the things you say.

But this one had me laughing.

anyone saw a drone flying about yet? i am assuming it was a drone and here is why.

    it looked dead
it was moving so slow it looked like it could fall out of the sky at anytime
    500ft up
not one single noise at all
    this thing was small
    maybe 9-10 ft wing span

im 40 years old & not ever have i saw a aircraft look like this & i see aircraft moving about pretty much daily

    http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/co ... le-ranches
spying on cattle ranches in iowa & nebraska. haven't read this yet but i will after my lunch.

anyone else saw a drone out yet moving about up in the sky?

Cool. I'd love to see one.

For any other creative ways to show our approval; shooting them down, sex outside with or without George Bush mask, looks up while drilling their nose, flips a birdie, turns around to show 'em their moon -- I say hooray!

adropofrain said something that sums up where we are at; "when I try and talk to people about this, they just shrug it off like it's nothing and this bothers me." Yeah, me too. Have we totally lost our Kahunas? Let the damn dogs out! We can't afford to have spineless passivity remain en vogue anymore dammit!

Oh yeah, johnny pistachio reminds us that for some: they get to live under "Armed Drone Invasion" 24/7.
Lets consider, if we allow current, hummingbird-sized surveillance to become our norm, then how long do we think it will be before they morph into not-so-harmless? That's actually a moot point. Hummingbird Drones will simply gather the data, shoot off zeroed-in coordinates and then the big guns will come-a-swooping. Now won't that be handy when the next group of unruly us convene on Wall Street! After the dust settles, we will be informed that a bit of harmless pepper-spray disbursement was necessary. Subliminally, we'll be convinced that this gang of unemployed riffraff protestors deserved it. And best of all! For the few brave souls willing to stand up against this, there won't be nary of a cop in site to direct any opposition toward! Cops will be down the road, snugly, safely in their bunkers, simply joy-sticking their peppery woodpeckers to their destination. Oh wait! No they wont. They won't be employed (at least as cops anymore) simply because with all this surveillance and handy mob control gadgetry, power-control won't be using our tax dollars to pay for human control anymore! However, they might be able to get a job with the cleanup crew gang.

And with that -- have a nice day! ;)

i've heard or read that some folks have shot them out of the sky. this i gotta say is fantastic. i'd never do it myself because i don't like jail or prison but those who do have the screw lose enough to go through with it... awesome on them. hell with it, i hope they get by with it.

Yep, people in other countries have trouble shooting drones out of the sky with rocket launchers bought and sold by governments. But some farmer in the states can do it with a riffle.

Sure... And I bet these drones were there to spy on *you*. Yes, *you*. For the States really don't have enough other enemies and want to pull all their resources to spy on farmers in Nebraska. Makes perfect sense to me.

Besides, who says it was drone? It could have been an UFO. Maybe they will invade us...

no it is not paranoia it is facts. we are under surveillance by big brother pretty much everywhere. where was it, north or south dakota where cattle thieves stole this old rancher's cattle. they were busted by a drone aircraft surveyllance system thing. the coppers watched on video cameras until the bad guys did not have guns in hand. for days on end the law watched them weilding guns. finally when all was safe for no weapons to be fired... busted.

i believe the drone in this case was capable (& did) watch them through walls/roofs.

    busted assholes...

see a guy can't even cattle rustle anymore.

just imagine working hard trying to make a decent honest living slinging ol' mary jane or some tar or whatnot. it's getting harder & harder to be a outlaw. the mexican/us border is a fantastical playground for such tactics.

Yep. Big brother is watching us... They busted some cattle thieves and waited to catch them at a moment when no one got hurt. Terrible. We really should start shooting these people out of the sky. For if you can no longer steal cattle and have a good gun fight, the world and the whole democracy is obviously ending in a handbasket.

Right, because there is no other way to catch a cattle thief. It's called privacy, something that has constantly gotten torn to bits since 9/11.

do not for one minute (pronounced my-nute in this meaning) moment believe that law enforcement agencies in your area are not using those big ear listening devices either. they are & they do at a constant. the lawmen & law ladies constantly aquire information illegally & whatnot. they enjoy playing good guys & bad guys.

i know cops who have poped the hoods on cars & removed wires from distributor caps, broke tail lights, used big ear listening devices & taken alcohol & weed from teenagers or adults in roadside traffic stops & did not turn the stuff in but rather used it themselves & for decades.

trust the people in authority positions and you are out of your frickin tree. if they want you bad enough they will do whatever it takes to get your dumb ass. the best part is getting on their good side & then they wont fuck with you. basically don't be an ass, shut your face & mind your own business. if you're gonna be a outlaw criminal do not talk about your shit & keep your fat ass off their radar

rustling cattle is pretty much a bad decision as is growing a sticky buddly garden... what the fuck is a guy to do?

Its refreshing to see you agree with conservatives on this! Do you understand how big govt. drives these policies? If the govt. needs to generate revenue from the private sector....and the working class....they install cameras on traffic lights to catch them speeding! Takes money from the working class to feed the ever hungry appetite of the federal govt.!
