basterds > pulp based on the basement bar scene alone. both incredible movies, but that one particular scene did it for me.

When I was in Newfoundland over the Christmas break I discovered that the brew pub/restaurant I go to regularly (because my buddy manages the place) opened a bar in the basement... several long nights were spent down there washing down pints with me uttering "You never fight in a basement" repeatedly...

this jerry of yours, stiglitz, not exactly the loquacious type, is he?

maybe a top 5 movie scene for me.

The Bag Heads scene in Django was all time great. That whole movie was spectacular though.

Not ranking Django since I haven't seen it.

    1) Pulp Fiction
    2) Resevoir Dogs
    3) Inglorious Basterds
    4) Jackie Brown
    5) Kill Bill 1
    6) Kill Bill 2
    7) Deathproof (Although that car chase scene at the end rivals Bullitt.)

    Based on his written movies:

    1) True Romance
    2) Natural Born Killers
    3) From Dusk till Dawn
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

My list changes constantly, but right now I'd have to go with...

    1. Jackie Brown
    2. Resevoir Dogs
    3. Pulp Fiction
    4. Inglorious Bastards
    5. Kill Bill Vol.1
    6. Django Unchained
    7. Kill Bill Vol. 2
    8. Death Proof

I liked Django, but you could tell he missed Sally Menke. I thought it could have been 20-25 mins shorter and it just didn't have the feel of a Tarantino film all the way through. Parts did but not all of it.

Guy is brilliant and a lover of all sorts of movies. As someone who has watched waaaay too many movies - B, foreign, etc - his love and appreciation - not to mention homage to those that came before him, is fascinating and appreciated by this fan! Hopefully Killer Crows comes to fruition!!!
