intrepid lies
reticent truths
racing
no end in sight
you are able to lie with such conviction
and the truth is so foreign that it dribbles with uncertainty
climb a tree to spin a web
stumbling over the truth that lay rotting in its moss
twice taking credit when none was ever due
while other lives were spent and lost
where the fuck were you
i dare to ask of other lies
and “none” comes back far too fast
fuck me blind
i’ve lost my mind
while you crouch behind your mask
fuck 'em if they can't take a joke

"what a long, strange trip it's been"
