    The link you provided sings the praises for this economist. Why would you smell trouble? I would think you might feel happy that your president is 'thinking outside the box' and securing a bright mind to assist with your country's current economic affairs.

    She is currently a co-director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab at MIT,
    What has this Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab really done? have they cured poverty? NO

    But it's OK... she's got american citizenship too. She also studied at a couple of american universities (after the french one) and she's got a tenure at MIT and has had it for a long time. See... she's OK (sort of...).

I wouldn't worry about her making the USA a socialist country...

    She is very well regarded in her field. Has won many awards and is published.
