Rad! Heard "Modern Times" on the radio the other day, much to my surprise. Love Joseph Arthur, love Stuverud, and love pretty much all of Jeff's other stuff. Another club tour would rock.
It would be awesome if this meant that PJ is further into recording than we thought so they have time to record new RNDM without interfering with the PJ schedule. New RNDM and PJ in the same year would incredible. Sadly it's more likely just another setback. At least it's a really good side project, but I would rather 2013 be devoted to PJ.
So stoked about this!!!! We absolutely don't know that this will interfere with PJ at all. I would say not really, because they have until March, then PJ works on the album, and production of that would likely take 5 months or so after recording. Jeff has plenty of time to do another RNDM album, considering that they made the first album in 3 days! But anyway, even if it does slow down PJ a bit, I don't care. I would have a new RNDM album in the meantime (plus I feel like PJ moves at a perfectly acceptable pace).
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata
This is great news - it just proves that these guys really gel together. Looking forward to the new record

you need to relax. the last rndm record was recorded in a weekend. this one will be too.
its the equivalent of saying "man, stone is a dick for going for beers with his buddies on friday night, he should've been in the studio with pj"[/quote]
Trust me, im fine. just posting my thoughts like everyone else. Sorry that I think the band should be putting more energy into pearl jam than the side projects. Guess I'm just going through withdrawals.

Also, Jeff seems to have an overabundance of his own material and must live in a studio with Stuverud. Jeff's solo stuff is consistently my favorite in that he isn't afraid to branch out. Sometimes he whiffs big time, but it's rarely dull. Plus, Tres Mts was one of the best live shows I've ever seen.

I don't see how this is a setback to the new Pearl Jam record. Brad and Soundgarden are about to go on tour so Jeff is just doing his thing til Stone and Matt get back.

depends on how fast they can get a tour together. Brad is in Europe next month anyway.
Pearl Jam could use April/May to record, and then go out on tour. Or do whatever they want, really.
