This should be a good game on Sunday. Think the Eagles will hold on to win 24-21 at home.

yeah i like that score. somewhere in the low 20's. squawks haven't scored more than 27 on the road, eagles lowest scoring home game is 27. i'm thinking maybe 23-17 eagles. something like that. they will have to win an ugly kind of game, which they haven't really done yet. and i don't think they've won a game under chip when scoring less than 24.

-gotta get out to an early lead. don't think seattle's offense is built for playing behind.
-win turnover battle. i'm looking at you, sanchize.
-gotta be better in the redzone.
-from what i've been reading, if there is a weakness in their secondary (weakness probably isn't the best word--just not their strength), it's with the short to intermediate, crossing patterns--sanchize has been living off them with future hall of famer, jordan mathews. more of that, please.
-jamal charles had like 150 yards a few weeks back---need you, shady.
-love to see more shady and sproles in backfield. they incorporated that more last week than any other game this year. match up nightmare.
-it looks like eagles are going to have a spy on russell wilson
-their rt has given up a bunch of sacks and hurries....so hopefully cox and barwin have big games and get to wilson.
-supposed to be windy? interested to see how young parkey does. might come down to a late fg. looks like he's been playing with a groin pull last couple weeks...might explain why kickoffs haven't been quite as far. guy leads the league in points. what a trade that was.

huge fucking game. i cannot wait to get down there. i am sure the linc will be as loud as it's been since the mcnabb/reid glory days of 10 years ago.

what's this about, cliff? not sure how i am a fraud, but yeah it was pretty loud. just lost to a better team. gotta tip your cap sometimes. i'll gladly take 9-4 at this point (especially with a back up qb) with them controlling their own destiny though.

and, trust me, i'm not asking this to be a dick--really, i'm not.....but what was the score of the eagles/giants game earlier this year? seriously, not trying to be a dick, i just don't remember. 21-zero? 24-zero? or was it 27-zero?

as well you shouldn't. honestly, even if the cowboys win next sunday night, i still think the birds win the division because the cowboys are the one team in the fucking league the eagles hold the tiebreaker on. birds have the other 2 cupcakes in the east (hi cliff!) and you guys would still have the colts to play.

    gonna be fun, though.

    okay....

anywho---that was the worst post game traffic I've ever experienced. took me 2 and a half hours to get home. i'm assuming it was because of the protestors. weird thing was we got out of the lot so quickly but then all the roads were fucking blocked off for some reason. we kept getting redirected, slowly--excruciatingly slowly, back towards the stadiums. horrible

thought the Eagles ran the ball too much in the 1st half. you are not moving down the field on that team running the ball. just got themselves into too many 3rd and longs. you have to produce on 1st down against the Seahawks.

Cole, Jenkins and McCoy weren't very good. If freaking Jenkins makes that interception that would have been a TD would have been right there late though.

would suck to have to play that team in the 1st round (possible if they Arizona wins division and Cowboys get a wild card) but I think they are beatable by the Eagles. Just got to be a little better than they were yesterday.

no chance at a bye now.

next sunday night is going to be wild. I would expect the crowd should be fucking nuts down there. get that team down early and break their spirit.

That sucked. Nice to see the front seven play well enough to win. Someone in the secondary needs to make some plays. Boykin looked awful. Needed to get Sproles and Ertz on those LB's more often. That was one of our few advantages. I was having flashbacks with our 2 yard routes on 3rd and 4 or 5.

yea i kept waiting to see them get the ball to Sproles in the passing game and they never did.

Cox was dominant. if the D line plays like that again next week should stuff Dallas again.

agreed....and dallas' d will be nowhere near as good as the seahawks.

if you want to gain any positives from last night, i guess it's that the eagles offense played about as poorly as possible and they still had a shot against a really good team. turnovers were huge. shady fumbles and they score right away. horrible throw by sanchez to cooper on his int--can't remember if seattle scored off it or not. if Jenkins holds onto that ball, it's a pick 6.....and that 44 yard pass interference on fletcher, I thought, was bullshit. his head was turned around and they were both going for the ball.

Seattle's D/team is starting to put it all together at the right time.

Also, I would like to take this time to call myself out for forgetting that Mark Sanchez is Mark Sanchez and getting sucked in by the wins.

Getting a bye was going to be hard as shit as it was - but they got the division to finish out, and I can't see them losing back-to-back at home.

I think they go 2-1 rest of the way - either losing to DC or NY.

Ya gotta hope Sanchez can keep it together long enough not to lose us anymore games, and Foles can get healthy enough to possibly play the Giants game.

Best part of the game was the zoom-in of Foles on the sidelines, and all I could think was him saying in his head, "Ohhhhh, now ya want me back huh?"

    Also, Cliff -

    Stop drinking.

so what do you guys think? not too look ahead but it's an interesting conundrum.

let's say they win their next 2 games and shore up the division and a home playoff game with one game to play and sanchez plays to the level he's been at this past month and a half (kind of adequate, at best)...but saint nick foles is cleared to play. he'll obviously be rusty but the playoff seeding will likely be locked up. do you play him? and if he plays well, do you go back to him for the playoffs?

my feeling is the offense is better run with Foles and doubt they can win 3 or 4 playoff games with Sanchez at the helm. If Foles is cleared after this week I'm going back to him so clearly if the scenario above comes into play I'd play him the last game and he'd be my playoff starter.

I'd go with Foles if he's healthy by the Giants game, unless somehow Sanchez plays out of his mind again. And again tricks us all into believing he can play QB just long enough to earn himself a playoff start, where he will abruptly fall on his face.

This is how it will play out.

Ugh, have you seen the high view of the Cooper interception? Matthews was running uncovered down the sideline on the same side of the field.

Yeah, I saw this. Hawks were beat a number of times. Sucks that the QB can't muscle it downfield. Now it's just a matter of weathering the storm.

Go 2-1 and all will be alright. It'd be nice to win Sunday and not worry about the division, at least.

I'm going to the game in DC and am kinda glad it'll be a meaningful game.

Getting a good feeling that Foles will probably start the Giants game.

You guys are getting creamed on Sunday.

darn it. i thought the eagles were gonna win.
Lol, come on man, lighten up. Just some friendly banter. I think it's gonna be a helluva game.
be nice if it was a little more competitive than the last one.
I couldn't agree more. Dallas is 6-0 on the road and I believe Eagles are undefeated at home, so it's looking good already.
