Your NFC Champs may have to replace the entire secondary now, eh?
    ......what?

Oh dear god, I just saw, what in the living fuck is happening? Honestly, this is the nature of sports Philadelphians deserve.

Well, as we know contracts don't me squat. Howie either approached him to restructure or he's still butt hurt about the idea Matt Patricia of possibly getting hired.

If this is the case (and they can find a suitable trade) then bring CJGJ back at the price he wants.

Did Slay kind of disappear the last half of the season or did teams just stop throwing it his way? Either way I think it's tough without him.

That's a crazy deal for Hargrave. And hurts. If they went above and beyond for anyone I wanted it to be him. But there's no way he was getting that money here even if they did everything they could.

Nice. Might've been the first time a Cowboy was on a Super Bowl field since before the internet existed.

AOL was formed in 1985 and the internet message boards had already been around for a few years.. , so you're off by at least about 10 years.... but HAHA funny... Dallas has 5....I"d rather have 5 older dollars bills than 1 newer one...

The "you're wrong, my team was good 30 years ago, it hasn't been 40 years" is a wonderful argument.
    This weekend we rock Portland
  • As a Niners fan I just wanted to share that not making the SB the past two years was made somewhat more palatable by the fact that we kicked Dallas out both years.

Would you settle for: might've been the first time a Cowboy was on a Super Bowl field since Crystal Pepsi was en vogue?

Hint: if you say no, I have a million other embarrassing Cowboys/90's jokes.

DVD's weren't yet popularized (or maybe even invented) last time Cowboys made it to the NFC Championship Game. Anyway, Cowboys fans don't care about the Eagles' 1948, 1949 and 1960 NFL Championships anymore than Eagles fans care about the Cowboys 1971 and 1977 NFL Championships. (I bet that clown has no idea there were championships prior to the Super Bowl - Dallas fan you know)

Yeah 11 sacks. You should be. However he is 30 and will be entering the backside of his career.

Zach and Bo were saying this was a casualty of the Eagles not doing their normal restructuring during the year to avoid locker room disruptions. If they did that and got him for less, they'd love to have him. But they've been able to find guys like Hargrave at similar points in their careers before. And, obviously you want to see Jordan Davis become the monster we envisioned last Spring.

Only 4 year deal so I'm ok with that.  He's a baller.
Jordan Davis should be as well, and way younger/cheaper.

Agree about locker room disruption idea....thrse guys got along fine by all accounts, can't believe a team friendly extension blows up the chemistry.  Who knows...perhaps others would have been pissed.

Except he's too stupid to realize the Eagles have $4 - yeah still less than $5 thanks to that BS call.

Yeah I heard them say that it possibly a mea culpa for thinking Kinlaw could step right in. I think it's a good move and I don't think any fan can care about money except in a sport where the cap matters, though. It's a lot of money, good for Hargrave, but they'll certainly still be beasts up front for this year. Probably hurts their chances of extending Bosa after next season though.

I still need to be sold on Davis, the specs are there but kinda disappointed. Willing to chalk it up to some injury, for now.

I have to think Cox is back because of all this, though. Wouldn't be surprised if they trade up for Carter if he drops beyond 5.

The Howie notion, yeah, is out there in print. The paraphrasing comes down to, "ok, we're not going to do our typical restructure and go for broke this year." And it only pays off if they win the whole damn thing, which was pretty close to happening. Now they're going to pay for it.

Bosa needs help.  He didn't beast out against the better OLs without help inside.
Most Niners fans want to eat his taint.  I think he was weak when we needed a game wrecker a bunch of times.

We still have #1. And the O-line is generally intact. Those are the main things.
