1 carry by a running back in first half. Kind of funny, of course on RPOs Hurts never gives the ball to Sanders. Hurts better improve his accuracy real quick or someone else will be QB next year
He has like 6 yards on 4 carries so far?

Why do you go for 2? So fucking dumb. Hurts showing up. Coach is still a damn idiot.
So if you get the ball back and score you win. Plus long snapper got hurt so might have played a role. And people who had Bucs minus 7 and the over had to be throwing shit when Brady knelt 3 times at end.

That game is a perfect example of how crazy gambling on the NFL can be. First the stupid decision to go for 2, which ends up succeeding and cuts the deficit to 6 in a game where line was either 6.5 or 7. Then the end of the game where on the 2nd down play the throw to Brate comes up a half yard short of the first, setting up the easy QB sneak and the clock winding to the 2 minute warning, and Brady following by correctly kneeling the game out. If Brate is one yard deeper, they get that first down on the 2nd down play and would have had to at least kick a FG on 4th after bleeding clock down to under 40 seconds. If you had the Eagles, you had a horseshoe so far up your ass you could taste it to win your bet, if you had the Bucs you had something else up your ass.
Oh and the taunting call on the first play of the final drive was straight up bullshit.

This.
And, of course I understand that if you get the ball back and score a TD you can then win with an extra point.
You could also miss the 2 point conversion and then need to make the 2 point conversion the next time just to tie. You would always have the option to go for the win at the end.
For my opinion, stupid call. Needless.
And, yes, I had the Bucs, so it made a different for me.
Still feel the same way about this clown coach. With potentially 3 first round picks in the upcoming draft, do you want to put that talent in the hands of the guy known for hanging his highlighters/pens on his visor?
Loved a piece in The Athletic today that described this offense as a Philip Rivers O with RPO added.
They should be building a plan that works for their young QB and the receiving/running options they have.
Conspiracy theory starting to creep into my psychotic mind: Howie planned this all along with Lurie to tank without it looking like outright tanking. If they win they look like geniuses, if they lose they don't care, no one to answer to! Howie then gets to hit the reset button on his tenure by having (hopefully) three 1st round picks, hires some hawtshawt head coach, etc etc.
I've never seen this offense - this overal team - look this awfully boring and terrible in my lifetime.

And, get a 5th rounder in swap for Ertz...who played pretty well last night.
The only explanation is this fits into JP's tanking conspiracy.

The schedule is cupcake city for most of the rest of the season though. I think they still another 4 or 5 games.

Lost in all the talk about the offense these past few weeks is that this defense is absolutely terrible. I can't remember and Eagles defense being this bad. Gannon looks totally overmatched at this point. I know the defense doesn't have a ton of playmakers but they shouldn't be this bad. The lack of aggressiveness is beyond annoying. I really don't understand coaching with such lack of aggressiveness or creativity. I've always been a huge believer in sports that aggressiveness is always the best way to play. Yea it will catch you sometimes in big plays and you might look bad at times, but lack of aggressiveness makes you an easy team to prepare for. The way this defense plays good QBs are just going to tear them apart. I feel this coaching staff is real close to losing this team completely and that this season could turn into an absolute disaster. A loss next week would send it fully spiraling out of control.

Well it really takes an "elite" quarterback to tear apart a defense with at least 3 wide open receivers every play that gets no pressure...
