Nope. Cowboys were good and the cheerleaders were hot when I was 7 years old. My Dad liked the Giants, and I liked to tweak him.Jearlpam0925 said:
Now, back to the bold part of your statement, and this will probably be the last time I respond to you - the others may more, but I don't know why - but what do you mean does what make the Eagles better? They were 4-12 last year and gained 6 wins. How were they not better? Oh, and that overrated QB got them the lead in that game against NO. Now, I can't speak to the defense, or the fact that a Hall of Famer had the ball with 3 minutes to go, because, yes, they sure did suck with all that.EdsonNascimento said:
Ha, ha. As if that matters. When was the last time the Cowboys won?Jearlpam0925 said:I'm pretty sure he's a Yanks fan AND a Cowboys fans. Could be off, but I think that's the case.
Would not be overwhelmed to hear he is also a Lakers (maybe now Heat) fan, along with Red Wings in hockey (this would be the team in hockey, right?), UNC in NCAA basketball, Alabama/USC/Miami (depending on the era) for college football....
...so take it all with a grain of salt...
But, for the record as if that makes a difference - Knicks, Islanders (until they move to Brooklyn, Don't really care that much about hockey and the Rangers are fine, too), and the one you can jump on where I am truly a front runner -
UCONN Huskies Basketball!!!!!!!!!!!! Best Basketball program in the last 15 years. Why would UNC be the right basketball program to pick? UCONN has more National Championships than ANYONE in the last 15 years (on top of winning what was the toughest conference in the country the most times until they stupidly imploded it over football). So, you should have picked that as your assumption, and you would have been right!
So, does any of that make the Eagles any better?
EDIT: And BTW, I am a UCONN Alum, so I assume I get a pass on rooting for the best basketball program in the country (did I say that yet?)
I think what you're missing in my point of bringing of what I did about your interest in teams is that people like you do not warrant a response. I will gladly debate with a Cowboys fan from a resonable distance from Jerry World, but the likes of your kind are the worst. I'm sure you have a great story about how your grandfather was in the military, earned the Purple Heart in Dubya Dubya 2, was then based in Texas and rescued Tom Landy's dog from a well....and this is why you wore, with pride, that dingy blue and gray Dallas Start pullover when you were picking and eating those snot crusts from your nose while shoveling your driveway in anywhere-it-doesn't-matter New York/Connecticut/Who-gives-a-shit-not-DFW.
As for our discussion on the Eagles - what I meant was - how does the fact of who I like make the Eagles of 2013 any better or worse? Not vs. 2012. Who give a shit about 2012? Does the fact that I like the Cowboys make this year's version of the Eagles any better?
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -
In your case....makes them better.EdsonNascimento said:

I love my father, but if you ever sat through a game with him, you'd understand why. And if it makes you feel any better, 1 of my 4 sons has decided to be a Giants fan to tweak me. The most disappointing part about the Cowboys constant mediocrity is I think i could flip him if they won. But, not much time left. At some point, there's honor in staying whatever fan you are as a kid regardless of how you get there. I think I still have a bit of a window, though because he's younger (And quite frankly he probably wouldn't be a Giants fan either if they hadn't won a couple years ago).Jearlpam0925 said:

the eagles obviously improved this year, but looking at these 2 teams playing in seattle tomorrow, they're still a ways behind defensively.
offensively they are in good shape. all they need to add is another, bigger wideout.. foles will drop off a bit next year for sure, but if the d is improved, it will make that more bearable.
on defense, if they can get an elite pass rushing olb to replace cole/graham and either a standout corner or hard hitting safety, they'll be in much better shape. the line did a good job against the run all year--i think the saints game was an anomaly as they played almost the whole game in nickel. billy davis just didn't adjust. i'm fine with the d line. i would love to trade for dion jordan but i doubt that rumor has legs.
i was more dead set on finding a safety until i heard sal palantonio recently say he thinks corner is more important. if you have a shut down corner who you don't even have to worry about, it just takes so much pressure off the rest of the secondary and they become better because of it. solid point. though, thinking of what this d would have been like with earl thomas back there makes me want to puke up my oatmeal right now. i could go either way there.
gonna be fun watching these games tomorrow......but i feel like this is going to be the longest off season EVER.

Dion Jordan for the 22nd pick? These rumors have been around for a few days. Mia is playing a 4-3 and he doesn't fit that scheme. I'd roll the dice on that I think.Go Birds!!!!0

he was taken 4th last year though, right? they'd have to give up a more than 22. i'd throw in brandon graham maybe.jamminpearls said:Dion Jordan for the 22nd pick? These rumors have been around for a few days. Mia is playing a 4-3 and he doesn't fit that scheme. I'd roll the dice on that I think.

he went 3,we had 4 last year. And from what i've read the #22 pick is plenty. A Chip guy with actual talent. I'd probably make the move. The Juggler said:

Well after last year they'd definitely be buying low, if that's possible on a guy taken third less than a year ago. Maybe.jamminpearls said:

I never get why teams draft guys and then completely change the system. You moved up to 3 and now a year later have no spot for the dude????The Juggler said:

Let's not forget that our O-line didn't play its best v. Dallas and NO. Take the best player period. It's not too often a team gives up on the 3rd pick after just one year. Maybe he's a stiff.Alright, alright, alright!

some players are meant for certain systems. jordan's probably more suited for 3-4.JK_Livin said:Let's not forget that our O-line didn't play its best v. Dallas and NO. Take the best player period. It's not too often a team gives up on the 3rd pick after just one year. Maybe he's a stiff.
i'm fine with the o-line. draft for depth later there....our d played much better than expected, but they just don't have the play makers san fran and seattle have right now.www.myspace.com0 -
I want that Kelvin Benjamin dude with the 1st round pick. I don't know, this dude looks perfect for this scheme and what they need. And I know defense needs to be improved, but fuck it.0

he's that big wideout from fsu right? we haven't had a dominant big receiver since terrell owens. he would be perfect. yeah....i would just take best available of any of these positions: wideout, corner, safety, outside lbJearlpam0925 said:I want that Kelvin Benjamin dude with the 1st round pick. Yeah, he is. This dude's got two inches and about 10 or 15 pounds on TO too. I just think this dude would be too good to pass up if he's still there. The Juggler said:
