They should put on a spanking against Washington today I would think. Like 27-10
I should have known better since it was a divisional game. Washington is better than I thought they would be. I'll take the win though

What do the Birds fans here think of the battle in SF this weekend?
    Don't give a shit
Hope Cowboys lose, always and forever
Hope 49ers lose, worried about home field advantage already

I still think Dallas is the best team in the conference not named Philly or SF. So I'll take their losses first to make distance in the division.

That makes most sense to me.
Baffled as I was driving and had the local buffoons on radio....and they were talking about hoping Niners lose.
The idea that you wouldn't want Cowboys smashed is crazy to me.
You beat the shit out of Niners team already.

Earlier, I heard someone say the Niners team is most disliked, locally.
Doesn't make sense.  Can't be true.
    Cowboys are most disliked.

I share that sentiment.  I hate Cowboys more than any team....but if there was a main division rival going against them, I would hope the rival lost.

Whatever - one of them will lose. Those two teams are the main competition. Maybe Detroit looks interesting I guess.

Just feeling like the Eagles will have a tough time with the Rams. We can't cover anyone and Stafford has that arm.

I was thinking about the whole AJ Brown sideline thing. They've been "forcing" him the ball since then and it sure has worked.

5 games in and Brian Johnson does not look good as a coordinator. He looks like, uh, Jalen Hurts' friend.

Puzzled at the resistance to handing off to whichever RB wanted when it is clock running time, and instead letting your $51MM per yr QB run around and take hits.

I hear they're basically going to ban this play due to "safety reasons" after this season. I look forward to them banning the quarterback sneak then.

I wasn't referencing that, more just his designed runs, but I wouldn't want him doing the Brotherly Shove so often if he were on Niners and they ran it.  Save it for when they really need it, he is just so valuable for the team.  Drop off to a back up from a top qb is huge

Sorry that was just a non sequitur.

But related to him running - I have no problem with the shove all the time (if you need a yard get a yard the way you know will be a guarantee), and he actually hasn't run the ball purposely (outside of the shove) this year until this game. But agree they should be handing it off late.

I've been saying he's definitely going to get hurt and that's because of the way he doesn't shy away from contact anytime he's in the open field.

I didn't like it at the end of the game there. At that point, they're better off just taking a knee.

There's literally one team who is good at this play and they're going to blame banning it on two Giants players who got hurt after they ran it without even practicing it. That likely will end up being the Giants biggest victory all season .

Also---yeah, Dallas losing was what we needed. Gotta win the division in order to get the 1 seed.

    GO BIRDS.

Brian Johnson has colored me totally unimpressed. I feel like redzone offense is where scheme should override talent and it's been incredibly weak. Yesterday they used their last timeout (granted, that's more on Sirianni) only to draw up a garbage play anyway.

Yeah it's the main difference between last year. Eventually leaving those points off the board is going to bite them in the ass.

They need quick hit plays in the middle of the field. Every red zone play takes way too long to develop and Hurts is back at the 25 yard line trying to find someone open.

Just any designed play looks incredibly drawn out and predictable. Those screen plays (any of them)? Terrible. Their offense is winning on pure talent alone right now - whether that's Hurts running, the line manhandling people, or AJ just destroying people. Coordinator isn't helping them out at all.

They should destroy The Jets this Sunday. What's our record against them all time? Something like 12-0 or 13-0?
