I kinda went "All Out" this year.
Cooked a nice meal for her family, Christmas lights and decorations for the outside of our house, gifts for the folks, gifts for the nieces and nephews, I will include a tank of gas to get around(hehehe...why not? Gas cost me a ton!) New casserole dishes and a nice meat platter for the prime rib. Lots of other odds and ends throughout the month of December.

Im gonna say Christmas cost me $500-$700.
That sounds about right.

Yeah, as I think about it a little more, I am looking at a good $800 myself.
But this year was a "NICE" Christmas for us.

Next year it is TV Dinners and Chia pets!

Oh rats- at first I read this as "Better question... How did you spend Christmas".
“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

We have four kids and we spoiled them rotten! So we spent a lot...just on gifts. I try not to think of the cost of the food and alcohol. I spread the spending out over several months so it never seems like we spent much...until everything is unwrapped! Then you look around at the piles, and we still haven't listened to all the records we bought each other...so I am sure it was a little excessive this year.
