Just got the reissue of RATM's self-titled debut (RATM XX -- guess '20' was already taken) and it was interesting to see Pearl Jam thanked in the liner notes. I'm pretty sure this was a copy of the original liner notes. Just interesting to see -- never thought they were in the same circle.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.

In RATM's early days, they opened for PJ at the Hollywood Palladium.

Also, recently from 2011, Morello stopped by while PJ was recording in LA. From Mike's tumblr:

Michael Goldstone signed both Pearl Jam and RATM to Epic Records.
