On Tuesday, 12/18, Cheaper Than Dirt! announced via facebook:

Cheaper Than Dirt! is suspending online sales of firearms effective immediately. We are reviewing our policy internally, and will continue to be the leader in the outdoor industry with our full line of gear and accessories.

As of right now, there are 13,199 comments to that statement and 99.999% of them are nasty.

I'm embarrassed to be a gun owner. I feel strongly about my right to own a gun but those people are wacky. A company decides to suspend internet sales (which lasted a whole 3 days, btw) and they are treated THAT horribly?     I just read some of the posts and I wanted to comment, but decided it wasn't worth it. These people have no idea how sick they sound.

    I used to shop there but I no longer will because of the markups they had on 30rd AR magazines ($15 to $60). I guess it's a good thing I was prepared ahead of time.
