Am i alone on this? I mean, is it weird? I am a grown man but i still enjoy getting a gift I can mess around with.. Socks and underwear are ok, but I wanna have some fun!!

I asked for a cheap remote control helicopter for christmas.. This sounded badass to me this year :)

Not really. I generally ask for money, and then use that to go buy my "toys," which are of the adult variety (not those kind!) such as power tools.

I have gotten remote controlled cars a couple times in recent, which is weird cause I never asked for them. I usually wind up just using the batteries to power my Xbox controler! :fp:

Those are badass. Every time I see one, I imagine that I could rig it to retrieve beer and pistachios when Im lounging on the couch like a floppy dog. I wonder if there's still time to ask for one!
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

I usually go this route as well but end up telling my direct family a few small items I would like to have.
I dont tell my in-laws anything and I get shaving cream, gum and shit like that.
For me Christmas is about giving....but I like a cool t-shirt (anyone that knows me knows they can get a sports or music themed t-shirt and I will wear it forever) or gift card over shaving cream.

Absolutely!! I asked for a Wii U this year, and I think me and my wife decided to take a trip instead of buying each other presents.

The old tamale pot I've been using is starting to lose some of its ceramic and is getting rusty in spots so I asked for a new stainless steel pot for homebrewing. That's a toy, right?

Nope. I only ask for two things, a bit of peace and quiet.

I have a friend of the family. She's got to be in her 70's or 80's. Every year she gets me a flashlight.

Is it at least a decent flashlight? Like a Maglite?

Absolutely not. It's one of the small little LED ones you would find at a checkout counter. Usually something like this.
