And I don't think we will ever stop crying.

Somewhere in the North Pole, Santa is sobbing.

So I went to the Mall yesterday, with Kathy, and we did some Christmas shopping. I walked through the stores at a snails pace. Kathy knew "something" was up. I walked in to all the toy stores. I watched children, with that "Christmas Glow" in their eyes, play with toys, holding their parent hands, and I just watched and observed. Kathy knew something was going through my mind, but she didnt ask. I walked in to the book store, and watched parents and children. I walked in to a McDonalds for a cup of coffee, and watched families taking a break, to eat their Happy Meals. I watched young couples push their newborns in strollers, as I smiled at the babies, then making eye contact with the parents, and more smiles were exchanged. I did this for hours. It helped ease my pain for a few short hours. Then I came home to this.

Our perspective on the good, simple things in this world has, so sad to say, forever changed in the last two days.

The normalcy that is taken for granted by each and every one of us on a daily basis has ceased to exist,
    at least in my eyes.

There is no normal any more.
    Nice shirt.

Last nights episode was one of the worst episodes in a long while.
    Every sketch was just bad.
Despite how nice Jennifer Lawrence is/was to look at,
The Lumineers were the only thing worth checking out last night.
    blech !

Most of last night's episode was really funny, I was surprised. Even that stupid Top Dog Chef turned out to be hilarious because of Bobby Moynahan. The Emmanuelle spoof was pretty hilarious too. All in all it was pretty solid. Of course if you look on IMDB, as with every other episode since the invention of the internet, it was the worst episode of any show in the history of the universe.

    have to respectfully disagree.
IMO , nothing in that show was hilarious.
The Lumineers were really good tho.

I stumbled upon this... them playing it so straight (no pun intended... or maybe a little bit), with some real acting chops and not just goofing off for a few minutes...

Did the sketches  in general held this kind of quality back then? I prefer this to the stuff they do now that feels so rushed and "just do something"-esque. Have SNL changed the style of comedy over the years, or is this sketch an oddity?

I just got an email saying I got tickets for this Saturday’s SNL dress rehearsal. I have put in for tickets numerous times over the years and never heard back. The host is Willem Dafoe and the musical guest will be Katy Perry. Eh. I think it will be interesting to see the process so I will likely go. I just wish the musical guest was someone I was dying to see.

I just got back from the SNL dress rehearsal. It was really fun and interesting how they change sets really fast. Willem Dafoe was great. For Katy Perry’s second song it took five people to get her in her outfit and then they had trouble getting her out of it. Everyone applauded when they finally freed her from that dress.

I'd love to see Katy Perry freed from a dress.
Her boobs are the stuff of dreams!
