hey guys,

i keep seeing on the board and at shows people talking about PJ playing No Way. Almost like No Way is the new Leash.

When did this happen, is there any reason for the resurgence in interest int he song, or is it all just random/an old gem people have always wanted to hear live?

gracias

This has always been one of my favorites. I just love the main riff.
    Cheers!

I hope so ... Not because I will be there, but because I am craving one of those sick Columbia type shows where they bust out a bunch of odd/rare tunes (see also Osaka, 2003, Newcastle, 2006, Marseille, 2006, Katowice 1/2, 2000)

The reason is because it's been over a decade since it's been played live, and even when the boys did it, they did it like, twice (I'm not exact on the numbers....maybe a few morre times?) But mainly because it's a sick song, and one of the best from Yield :D

I'd say that out of all the "rare" songs it's the BEST one...

It's just a sick little song and it would be great if they played it again (3 times live :()

I actually thought for a few seconds last night that they were gonna play it but then it was Garden.

I totally did that when I was at the Gorge....I could have sworn they were gonna jump into No Way and it turned out to be the new, slower version of Garden. Curses, foiled again!

I'd rather hear All Those Yesterdays or Otherside. But they've already broken out WMA and All Night this tour...they might be saving the rest of the rarities for next year.

And don't forget, Leash was the new Breath.
*Does not include encore of Garden and Leash.

At one point, I thought they were going to play it. the guitar that Ed uses for Who You Are (or at least the one he used for it at MSG 2) is the same one he used for No Way on the Single Video Theory dvd. and the dvd is the only instance in which I had ever saw him use that guitar. I was excited.

I was there for one of the playings in 98...Pittsburgh...

If i remember right...someone got a shirt on the stage, Ed picked it up and it had NO on the front, and WAY on the back. He asked if they should try it, said it would be the first time ever, and off they went with it.

    It was awesome.

did anyone at msg2 think no way was gunna be played when ed was like "this next one is a stone gossard tune that we havent played in awhile. we relearned just for tonight" or somehting like that. i nearly shat myself and turned to my friend and then the opening riff for garden was played. still a great song but i was soooo pumped for no way.

I am 85% certain No Way will not be played this tour. If MSG didnt get it, i doubt these next 3 shows will.

+1. so excited. especially since they played cropduster the song before, by that time i was more than trembling, so that added on the excitement and wishful thinking.
