I don't even care WHAT your opinions are (not you personally, i mean BROADLY) AS LONG AS YOU BACK THEM UP WITH REASONED DEBATE ... but start hurling insults and all you have done is prove yourself ignorant, not the other.
It also pains me greatly to have one liner comments tossed at me by well meaning folks who don't even understand their OWN lack of information.
I got one in another thread, "i can't help but notice you left off the beginning of that sentence ... 'A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State' ... insulting me and insinuating that i am dishonest or stupid for not understanding "well regulated" to mean some sort of restriction on gun owner ship. "regulated" supposedly meaning something like "regulations pertaining to" ...
Well, at least this is well meaning, but so horribly misinformed as to be laughable, and then it is phrased in such a way as to make ME look the scoundrel ????

3) To adjust so as to ensure accuracy of operation.

THE ***ONLY*** thing this statement is qualifying is THE NECESSITY OF CIVILIANS MAINTAINING GUNS.
Militias were bands of informal, impromptu, IRREGULAR citizen-soldiers, called to action WHEN NEEDED.
The Constitution is saying, these militias BEING PARAMOUNT of importance to liberty, Citizens MUST own guns, for IF THEY DO NOT, THEY CAN NOT BE "PROPERLY DISCIPLINED" for IF THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIRE \ SHOULDER \ AND MARCH WITH A GUN ... which FIRST THEY MUST OWN A GUN TO LEARN PROPERLY AND CONTINUALLY TRAIN ON ... THEN A "WELL REGULATED MILITIA" CAN NOT BE FORMED WHEN NEEDED.
And yet, some of you are SO IGNORANT OF THE WORDING OF YOUR OWN FOUNDING DOCUMENTS, YOU COULD NOT MAKE SENSE OF THEM IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT.

But to be clear, Kat is supposed to MODERATE this forum, EXACTLY as her fucking title states.

I don't have hurt feelings. I'm sick and tired of having reasoned lines of questioning ignored, and countered with personal attacks, off topic one liners, and bullshit. And people get away with it. And it drags this place down.
There are thread OPs on this board outright pointing fingers at NRA members, and it is absurd, inflammatory, and inappropriate. One side in this debate does nothing but mock, flip middle fingers, throw out expletives, and insinuate retardedness and\or paranoia at others ... while the other side TRYS their fucking best to maintain a level head ....
