I know this is a rather odd tip, considering this is a bluegrass band that's headed up by Steve Martin (yeah, the comedian/actor), but a few months ago I saw Steve Martin and Martin Short and Steve Martin played "The Great Remember" on his banjo... It's a beautiful and touching song. I went out and bought "Rare Bird Alert" the follow up to their Grammy winning album "The Crow" Holy shit can these guys PLAY!!!

I'm watching a recording of Martin and his band playing on Austin City Limits... It's outstanding.

I implore y'all to put your doubts aside, expand your musical horizons and check this out. You might dig it. :)

Enjoy!

I saw them last year and they are AWESOME. I love Steve Martin, he's so talented in every way. Their last album, Rare Bird Alert is amazing. SM has been playing banjo for at least 30 years and is a total pro.

They are playing in Tallahassee tomorrow night, but tickets are $90. Just can't swing it. I've only heard good things though.

They are playing in a real nice theatre. I'm assuming that's why tix are so much. Jerry Seinfeld played it about a year ago and charged closer to $100. I couldn't pay that much either. Either way, the show tonight is soldout, so I guess it doesn't matter now really.

So how was your show last night?
