I just found out there was a marathon on Whidbey Island outside your wonderful city in April. I was wondering if the island is fairly accessible (I understand you have to take a ferry), but can I fly in, enjoy the city and the marathon in one weekend?

Also, it looks beautiful but is it worth the travel from Chicago?

Just some information would be great. Thanks, much appreciated

  • Whidbey Island would be a great place to run a marathon. Lots of great sights, mountains, water, and small towns. You can take a ferry or drive across deception pass. The ferry is much closer to Seattle though.

Thanks a lot. I was hoping so, I just didn't quite know any better.
