These are the albums nominated for Album of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards:

-El Camino by the Black Keys
-Blunderbuss by Jack White
-Babel by Mumford & Sons
-Some Nights by Fun
-Channel Orange by Frank Ocean

Who do you think will win this award? I personally want either Jack White, the Black Keys or Mumford & Sons to win. I cannot remember the last time that there are at least three artists I really want to win Album of the Year. Usually, there is only one or two that I am really crazy about.

  • frank ocean should win it. hell of an album, really ambitious project. and its been one of the most loved albums of the year on all the 2012 best albums lists so far. And I think he could actually win it. For one, the grammy's have tilted to indie music in the last few years. And two, music in general lately has been in love with new r and b like the weeknd and how to dress well and frank ocean
  • I had to read the nominations for this category a few times to actually believe it. Regardless of who wins its refreshing to see actually musicians with talent get recognized. I thought it was alt/rock album of the year at first glance.

Wow, awesome choices! My tops would be Mumford but Jack White and the Black Keys are also very deserving!

That's what I'm thinking. I love both albums, and Jack White should win it, but Frank Ocean is deserving as well. Hell of an album.

what a joke the Grammys are. there 5 records are nowhere close to the best album of the year. They are just 5 records that sold well.

i'd say 3 out of the 5 sold really well. Frank Ocean and The Black Keys wont be winning "most units sold in 2012".

I'm not a fan of all of them, but it seems like a pretty solid list to me. What other albums would you like to see there?
  • Ive personally been pleased with the grammy's the last few years. they seem to slowly have been getting it. Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, and last year Adele winning all were spot on. Adele winning last year was great because she sold an insane number of albums, probably the only other artist in the world other than Taylor Swift who can get people to buy albums, but also the album was absolutely brilliant. Rolling in the Deep and Someone Like You were on the radio 24/7 for a reason.
  • no mainstream hiphop or glitter pop... I like it.
