How would this work with a paperless ticket system? Are you planning on meeting at the venue and going in with them?

yeah, you know what happened? my ex boyfriend gave me his visa for the pre-sale. i bought two GA tickets.

then got waste tickets two hours later, for the first time ever- and completely picked the wrong # of tickets and got 4 instead of 2, oops. found a friend to use one, but the other 3 are still available - yes we'll be there as well to walk or swipe whoever in at face value... he's going to love that one when he sees :fp: hahahaha

yeah. it's complicated... i don't think we should go there in this thread haha

let me know if you change your mind? i'm sure i could easily sell these on a radiohead forum, or on craigslist, etc. but they are being so strict about ticket pickups etc. that for some reason i feel like i trust a pearl jam stranger to show up and be on time more than anybody else, which is why i came here first...

i still have two GA tickets left for the Philly show, they are $141 for the pair. i think you do have some time though, these were purchased in the presale today and from waste. i think public sale is tomorrow/satruday

here's a few videos my ex took last time they toured - it was probably one of the best shows i've seen. ever.

A couple hiccups as this was "a rehearsal," as Thom joked early on, but last night's secret show in LA was still pretty stellar. I saw them back in '09 when Thom first assembled the band to play The Eraser and they were great. This show was extra special being in a small club, but also seeing them more evolved as a band. Some of the songs they've really loosened up and expanded on (4 years ago, it was pretty much The Eraser played straight up). The new stuff sounds great. Dropped was a highlight because they actually got the floor shaking. Flea playing bass on Harrowdown Hill still gets me every time and Cymbal Rush was amazing. Hoping I can catch their full "show" when they come back in October.

Setlist signed by Flea :D (They played for a little over 2 hours)

Just saw them at Barclays. Kick ass show. Go see them. I love Thom Yorke doing his wobbly dance-karate moves :) Flea's an animal.

Yeah, the only thing missing is the nunchukkas.. ;)

Saw them in Milan this summer, great show! Better than the last Radiohead shows I've seen..

I thought the same thing; wasn't sure if it's because my Atoms for Peace tix were better than my Radiohead tix but it felt more energetic!

I have an extra ticket for tomorrow's DC show (well, Fairfax, VA really) now that my husband can't go. It's a good seat and of course I'd only sell it for face (probably less). Bummed that my sig o can't go but would be happy to share the ticket with a fellow PJ fan. Probably best to respond through PM here.

    Excited to see the show!

Ooooh that was an excellent show!! Couldn't help but dance all the way through, and every band member was so...present, if you know what I mean! So worth the drive!

I know exactly what you mean! That's what sets bands apart for me. I tend to gravitate towards bands where it's truly a full band, and not just the lead singer with his backing men. A huge part of why I love Pearl Jam.

Yup, totally agree. There are a few bands with super powerful individual members who pretty much steal 96% of the spotlight, and I'm ok with that (the Yeah Yeah Yeahs come to mind - I could watch Karen Oh do her thing for hours without taking my eyes off her, she's so compelling). But overall, I appreciate a BAND with multi-talented members all over the place.

With Atoms, it was also so cool to watch them enjoy each other so much, and just enjoy their own music so much. You can tell they have tons of respect for each other's talent.
  • You two are making me jealous. They play in Chicago tomorrow night and I was holding out on buying tickets. However, Kings of Leon announced a show at the House of Blues and I scored tickets for that instead. It was a tough call, but I couldn't pass up Kings at that small of a venue.......hope to catch Atoms for Peace next time.

Me again - Suziemay what you wrote also made me think about Atoms vs. Radiohead. Seems to me that, even though Yorke has gotten more comfy and relaxed as the focal point (from the audience's point of view) in Radiohead, he still seems to try to minimize himself a bit to share the light with the other members. Not that they don't also command it, I think they do, and at Radiohead shows I never find myself only looking at Yorke, they're all so amazing live. But with Atoms Yorke seems so comfy jumping and dancing and jiggling all over, he just looks more free to be active and lively, which I figure is at least in part about not being self-conscious about being "the lead singer of Radiohead". Do you have the same impression?
