Has anyone booked a hotel in bologna yet? can anyone send me any links as the location of the venue for the gig? cheers

2005 - Kitchener/London/Hamilton/Toronto
2006 - Astoria/Dublin/Leeds/Reading/Bologna/Verona/Milan/Torino
2007 - London/Copenhagen/Lollapalooza!!!

    A friend (who's italian londoner and is doing 2 shows there) gave up on going to this show because apparently the venue is in the middle of nowhere, and would be very difficult (read impossible) to get back from afterwards.

    I don't know the details, I'm just relaying what she said.

    We booked into the La Pioppa. Just googled it, so don't really know anything about it. We have a car though. The site I used seemed good. It's venere.com. :)

    Does anybody know anything about this venue. I know it is an indoor basketball arena and they list the capacity at around 8k. I understand it is about 4 miles from Bologna in a smaller town. Can anyone else provide more details. Are there hotels near the venue? Transportation to and from Bologna? Thanks.

    http://www.forumnet.it/ is teh venue site (in italian only, can guess most of it).

    Looking at transport, there's trains/buses to go there but Public transport stops at something like 21.00.
    It does mention that there 'might' be bus services running in between the venue and the centre of Bologna on event days, but it doesn't says it does for sure.
