What kind of picks do you guys use? I've been using Adamas 2mm graphites for the last couple of days and i really like them. It took awhile to get used to 2mms but i'm really enjoying them. I can get a great tone and more pick control.

  • Like mike McCready i use .76mm (usually just buy dunlops, cuz they are cheap in packs) -- actually, i was using 2mm picks on someone elses recommendation, and not feeling it too much, and I saw McCready used .76mm ... i figured if it was good enough for him, it was good enough for me.

    Turns out it's great.
    :D

I get plenty of control, but it's not stiff, and when i want it to "flop" a little to get some extra motion going on the strings, it will bend.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

I switched to Dunlop/Herco Flex 75s not long ago. Used to use the Dunlop 1.14mm with the sticky stuff but realized I had hardly any control with the pick, so I was relying solely on my controls or volume pedal to play a little quieter.

If you guys are really set on a pick, I might suggest checking out amazon and getting a bulk bag. Bought 100 for around $20
