I'm reading that they've just finished their new album - looking forward to it! And they're supporting Sabbath, so hopefully there'll be a couple of chances to see them again next year!

I was lucky enough to see them live back in 2012 (I think) in a small club here in Oulu, Finland. It was around the time they were touring for Head Down album. It was an amazing experience even though it wasn't a big turnout. Great live performance. I think nowadays they wouldn't bother traveling up north but I will definitely go see them again, if I get the chance.

'Amazing experience' sounds about right - we saw them in a small club in Scotland (about 350) in 2013 - wow, is all I can say!

  • Two months and counting until I get to see these monsters of rock live. Never thought I would look forward to Rival Sons more than Black Sabbath but that is exactly what is happening. Come on Feb 3, 2016!!!!!!!!

  • In one week I get to rock out to one of the best bands I've ever heard, and I heard Sabbath might be playing to. Can't wait to see the awesomeness live.

you think 500 sabbath fans will bring their ticket or is there a chance of getting in without a sabbath ticket?

  • You get with a Sabbath ticket or pay 10 bucks (goes to charity)
  • Super bummed I missed these guys in Vancouver for the second time in a year due to the other band cancelling. So sad and so jealous of Calgary(never thought I would say that). Oh well, at least I can look forward to the new album drop in May, if what Scott said in an interview in Edmonton is true.

Just saw these guys open for Sabbath last night. Incredible! A must see show. :rock_on:
  • A good article/interview with Scott Holiday. This I my favorite quote of the whole thing:
I want people to be happy, man. I want people to listen to the music that makes their heart big and they feel good. It makes them feel the angst they wanna feel or excited or helps them hurt in a certain way. You wanna make people feel with music. I think famous and rich isn't really part of it.

  • The stars have aligned, I get to see these guys in MSG in 11 days and work is paying for the trip. Even better they are playing the rescheduled date in Vancouver on my way home. Two shows 9 days apart and I couldn't be happier.
Now let's get some music on this page.
